Leaders of the G20 member states on Monday called for ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, and for more humanitarian assistance, with focus on fighting poverty and climate change.
In the closing declaration of their meeting hosted by Reo de Janeiro, the G20 leaders underlined the need for international cooperation to tackle global challenges.
The declaration dealt with the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, expressed deep concern at the disastrous situation there, and called for more humanitarian assistance, protection of the civilians, and ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
