The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, that Russian air defense systems destroyed 39 Ukrainian drones last night over the territory of several Russian provinces.

"Last night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using drones against targets on Russian territory were stopped," Sputnik Agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying in a statement.

"The air defense systems on duty destroyed 39 Ukrainian drones: 24 drones were destroyed over the territory of Rostov Region, five drones over the territory of Bryansk Region, three drones over the territory of Belgorod Region, three drones over the territory of Kursk Region, one over the territory of Oryol Region, one over the territory of Belgorod Region, one over the territory of Voronezh Region and two over the territory of Crimea," the statement added.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces target the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles almost daily, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians.
