SANA'A June 13.2023 (Saba) - The Supreme Political Council approved on Tuesday extending the tenures of President Mahdi Mohammed Al-Mashat and his deputy, Sadiq Amin Abu Ras, for three presidential terms, starting from Muharram 1 1445 AH and ending at Thul-Hijjah 1445 AH.
In its meeting today, the Council heard from President Al-Mashat about the political developments related to the negotiations file, ongoing contacts, existing obstacles, and the various roles exchanged by the US-Saudi aggression coalition and its sponsors.
The Council hailed the efforts being made to complete the file of war prisoners, calling for concluding a swap deal on the basis of all for all on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha.
The meeting affirmed that "Yemen, after 3,000 days of aggression, is more ready for peace and more prepared to defend its sovereignty, independence, and capabilities." It also noted that "the Yemeni people's entitlements would increase as the American-Saudi aggression continues, and that the Yemeni steadfastness and sacrifices would bear a dear victory for Yemen."
In the meeting, the Council proudly saluted the legendary steadfastness of the free people of Yemen, headed by the families of the martyrs, war prisoners, the missing and the wounded, the venerable scholars and all workers in state institutions, teachers, university professors, the media front, farmers, merchants, workers, and all categories of the great Yemeni people.
The Council outlined that the Yemeni people, with their awareness and insight, realize today that "America is just as it was at the forefront of the aggression against Yemen; it is today working hard to continue the aggression and tighten the suffocating siege on the Yemeni people, starve them, and plunder their oil and gas wealth, and to obstruct any peace solutions except in accordance with its colonial vision and agenda."
The Council pointed out that all the steps that are taking place in the occupied provinces come within the framework of the conspiracies of the American occupier to legitimize its presence in those areas and impose its policies.
It stressed that "Yemen, with its leadership, army, and people, will not give up or compromise on its full sovereignty on land, sea, and air, and will not accept the continuation of aggression and siege," and that the Yemeni army will protect all the wealth of the Yemeni people in every inch of Yemeni soil.
The meeting denounced the satanic endeavors led by America in combating morals and values, spreading vices and corruptions, and seeking to corrupt people, noting that US President Biden's declaration that America is a homosexual nation would lead it to the abyss.
