SANA'A July 24. 2023 (Saba)-His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today, Minister of Industry and Trade Muhammad Al-Mutahhar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Commerce Chamber and Industry in the capital Sana’a, Ali Al-Hadi, and a number of merchants headed by Hassan Al-Kbous, Dr. Abdo Ali Hadi, Muhammad Al-Ansi, Muhammad Al-Hushbi, and Ismail Al-Thawr.
During the meeting, His Excellency President Al-Mashat stressed the importance of coordination between the Ministry of Industry,Trade and the Chamber of Commerce in the interest of the country, the citizen and the promotion of economic stability.
He stressed the need to provide all facilities and simplify procedures for investors in the private sector.
President Al-Mashat urged the head of the Chamber of Commerce to cooperate with merchants and overcome all difficulties in front of them, considering the Chamber of Commerce as the link between government agencies and the private sector.
He urged the Investment Authority and the General Authority for Lands to provide investment opportunities in Yemen, facilitate procedures, and speed up the completion of the establishment of a single window in order to facilitate commercial transactions for merchants.
And he stressed the various relevant authorities for continuous coordination with the Chamber of Commerce, and keenness to strengthen partnership with the private sector
For his part, businessman Dr. Abdo Ali Hadi expressed his thanks to His Excellency the President for receiving and listening to the merchants, pointing out that the hostile media was presenting a different picture of the reality in Yemen.
He said: "We arrived in Yemen and found that it is in the best condition despite the aggression, blockade, and there is a state existing institutions, security ,safety, and all the elements of investment are available, and we received a great response from everyone in providing all facilities to investors." He called on all businessmen and investors to return to Yemen to invest in it.
