Nicholas Jackson scored in the 15th minute and Enzo Fernandez in the 75th minute, while Leicester City's only goal was scored by Jordan Ayew in the 90th minute (+5 penalty kick).
With this victory, Chelsea raised its balance to 22 points in third place, while Leicester City's balance stopped at ten points in 16th place.
This victory is the first for Chelsea after two draws, and the sixth in the league this season against a loss in two games and a draw in four, while this loss became the second consecutive loss for Leicester City and its sixth in the league this season, against a win in two games and a draw in four.
In a second match, Arsenal put an end to their negative results in the English Football League by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium in the same round.
The London side secured their first victory in the English league after stumbling with two draws against Chelsea and Liverpool and two losses to Bournemouth and Newcastle United in the last four rounds.
Arsenal, led by Spanish manager Mikel Arteta, celebrated their sixth league win of the season against four draws and two losses to take their tally to 22 points and jump to fourth place in the table.
Arteta also succeeded in leading his team to a clean sheet for the first time in the English Premier League this season since beating Tottenham Hotspur with a goal in the London derby on September 15 in the fourth round.
