The local authority in Ibb governorate handed over today the executive unit for projects the implementation site of the flood drainage ferry project in the Dhi Ashra area of Ar-Radmah district to start work on it.
The project, which costs 44 million and 552 thousand riyals, aims to protect agricultural land from collapses, rainwater drainage, and torrential torrents that pour into this area and cause road blockages.
The Director of Community Initiatives in the governorate, Bandar Al-Ahdal, explained that the project will be completed by the technical and engineering specifications concluded in the implementation contract within 60 days. He considered the project an important step to strengthen the infrastructure in the region, which contributes to improving the standard of living for farmers and residents and protecting the area from flood damage.
He pointed out that there are future plans to expand development projects in various sectors, to achieve sustainable development in the province and enhance the community's ability to face environmental challenges.
In turn, the Director of the Executive Unit for Projects in the governorate, Eng. Khalid Al-Salahi, explained that the project will work to reduce the risks resulting from the floods, thus contributing to the protection of public and private property. He pointed out that the technical teams of the unit will be present on an ongoing basis to follow up on the progress of work and ensure compliance with the specified schedules.
