SANA'A October 18. 2022 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat inaugurated on Tuesday the local development program and the joint work between the state agencies and the society components.
"The Leader of the Revolution Abdul-Malik Alhothi has honored us with his participation in the inauguration of the program," President al-Mashat said, urging the officials of the program to implement the points he stated in the speech he delivered in the occasion.
Al-Mashat talked about the necessity of restoring the activity of state institutions to serve the citizen, and this is the responsibility of everyone, each of his position, expressing hope for restoring the activity of state institutions, improving their performance, and moving towards construction and development to reach the desired level.
"The responsibility that we have been honored with in this situation calls for more and more from us, and we must understand that what has gone mistakenly in the past is not the satisfactory situation at the central and local levels. I don't want to diminish anyone's work, but it hasn't lived up to the hoped-for."
He added, "But what all officials should pay attention to is that this situation will not really continue, and we will start with high accuracy, and consider that whenever it passes, we will confront only emergencies and prepare for this stage that we will present to."
The President of the Supreme Political Council stressed that the next stage will be more serious.. "The follow-up and evaluation will be intensive and deep, so every official chooses for himself where he should be."
He pointed out that there are priorities and plans, which will be intensified, indicating that the difficulties can be overcome if there is a will.
He added, "There are no difficulties that do not have solutions and there are priorities that arise, and this does not mean canceling the existing plans, but rather transforming what exists to help and harmonize with our priorities that arise, including priorities at the general level, the provinces and at the level of each party."
President al-Mashat stressed the intensification of the construction and training process. He said, "My hope is to intensify the construction and training process, and the local administration sector officials at the Ministry of Local Administration should intensify construction and training at the local level in the provinces and districts."
He reiterated the necessity of developing the level of performance and upgrading it at a high pace. He added, "We have started good steps, but we must maintain them and advance more and more, and we have achieved through following-up and evaluation through the local administration.
