The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that its armed forces inflicted heavy losses on Ukrainian formations over the past 24 hours, including the neutralization of 2,025 servicemen, the liberation of the village of Rovnopol, and the destruction of numerous military equipment, ammunition and fuel depots on various battlefields.
In its daily report on the progress of the special military operation, the ministry reported that units of the Russian "Northern" group of forces defeated Ukrainian brigade formations in positions in the Kharkov region, costing them about 110 soldiers, three military vehicles, two field artillery and a drone production workshop.
According to the ministry, units of the "Center" group of forces made progress deep into the defenses of the Ukrainian formations in the Donetsk People's Republic positions, and ten attacks were repelled, during which the attacking forces lost more than 480 servicemen, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, seven cars and four guns.
Russian tactical operational aviation, unmanned aerial attack vehicles, missile forces and artillery destroyed the infrastructure of military airfields, power facilities for the operation of military-industrial complex enterprises, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 139 areas.
Air defense systems intercepted three Hummer-type guided bombs, shot down a Hemaris missile and 85 drones.
