Madrid - Saba:
Real Madrid announced on Monday the absence of Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior from the club's first football team, due to injury.
The club said in a statement that the medical examinations conducted on Vinicius Junior proved that he was injured in the back muscle of his left thigh, and his condition will be monitored.
The Spanish club did not announce the duration of Vinícius' absence from the stadiums, while some local reports indicated that he is away for a period ranging from three to four weeks, which means that he may miss seven matches in all competitions, and the start will be against English league leaders Liverpool after Wednesday in the Champions League.
Vinícius was injured during Real Madrid's match with Leganes on Sunday in the 14th round of La Liga, which ended in a 3-0 win for the Whites.
The Brazilian striker has scored 12 goals in 18 games in all competitions, including eight goals in 13 La Liga games this season.
